Security is always an important issue when you are a cardholder. When you receive your bill, look at it closely to ensure that there are no charges you didn't authorize.
If you're going to make any charges that would be considered "out of the ordinary" (think: exceptionally large, an international purchase, etc.) contact the issuer ahead of time.
If your card is lost or stolen, immediately let the card issuer know. This is another reason why your information should always be up to date, too!
